Just to co-ordinate what we have found for Rome, she put a very full query
re her family on the BG forum (confess I hadn't really digested her posting
on here) and did a little digging amongst the ZA-IB archives. Found the
following transcriptions from Ellen:

MELVILL-HOLLAND-On April 8, at St. George's Cathedral, Grahamstown, by the
Right Reverend the Lord Bishop of the Diocese, assisted by the Very Reverend
the Dean, Frederick Ziervogel Melvill, of Graaff-Reinet, to Lilian, second
daughter of Thomas Holland, Evelyn House, Grahamstown.
This is the death notice entry for Mary Frances:

As Rome said her grandmother had siblings Lilian and John and I found a
Lilian and Becky found a John it seems likely that Thomas HOLLAND and Mary
Frances THORNHILL are the right pair.
