Hi Lesley-Ann
I'm sure that there is something horribly wrong with the lead that I posted.
Trying to inspire Sieg, it looks like I went into a major tailspin. I went
back and checked through the archives and can't even explain how I got to
Emily Ann aka Fanny BUCKLEY. I could only find reference to a Mary Elizabeth
BUCKLEY marrying John Frederick DOLLY. This is what I found for you. Just
hope I don't confuse you more.
Ellen gave the following warning:
<<Please be advised that as a source, this is probably in the questionable
category.
This film appears to be a copy of Edie Muir POTGIETERs handwritten notes.
I have no idea what she used as her original source for these marriages.>>
Edie Muir Potgieter transcripts
Microfilm# 0363060
Marriages: Wienen and Pietermaritzburg: Natal
Grahamstown: Cape, Smithfield: Orange Free State, Heidelberg: Transvaal
Entry #55
Husband: Charles HEDDING, No Age
Wife: Mary Elizabeth BUCKLEY, 26
Date: 15 Jul 1900
Entry #56
Husband: John Frederick DOLLY, No Age
Wife: Mary (Emily) BUCKLEY, No Age
Date: 16 Jul 1900
Entry #93
Husband: John Frederick DOLLY, No Age Given
Wife: Mary Elizabeth BUCKLEY, 24
Date: 16 Jul 1800
Maybe this is how it should read, although when comparing the ages as
highlighted, it still doesn't make sense.
Mary Elizabeth BUCKLEY
m1.16 Jul 1880 John Frederick DOLLY
m2. 15 Jul 1900 Charles HEDDING
I wonder if Mary was not aged 34 when she married Charles HEDDING?
or was Emily Ann aka Fanny also known as Mary?
Does this make more sense?
Best wishes
Becky

Hi Becky/ Sieg/Rob
Thanks for your BUCKLEY summary.
I'm not sure about the date 16.7.1900 for m. of Fanny BUCKLEY and John
DOLLEY, as first child born May 1881 ?
This is what I have.
