Hi erleen,
I have not seen any replies to yyour post so I thought I would have a go. I had a look on google earth and it is a very small place so if you are close or are going to travel through there it should not be difficult to get directions in the town. I would suggest that you go to the police station and ask there for both directions and if it is safe to go to the cemetry.
If you happen to see a Thurnau (also spelled Turnau, Toernau, Turnauer etc) I would appreciate a picture.
Kind regards,
