Hi All,
I personally believe that one should record the Place Name as it was when
the Event took place, even if it does look quaint today. One can always put
the new name in brackets as (now called .....), if you feel that is
necessary.
For example, I was born in Southern Rhodesia & interesting enough my SA
Passport issued about 7 years ago, and my ID book, show "Country of Birth -
Rhodesia".
