The following list is referred to in a footnote in "The Reminiscenses of an
Albany Settler" by H. DUGMORE edited by Van der Riet and Hewson 1958 :

"A list of surviving settlers 'believed to be complete' was published in
the
Grahams Town Journal of the 23rd May , 1870, and an amended list, bringing
the total to 88, appeared two days later. Only those settlers, who had
reached the age of 18 at the time of the settlement qualified for inclusion
in the list"

I have transcribed the list below and arranged it in alphabetical order
from
a digital image produced by the Cory Library Grahamstown. They could not
find the amended list referred to above as appearing two days later. If
anyone has access to this list and could post it here it would be much
appreciated.
