Hi Charlotte,
Where and how did you find the roll? I have been trying for a quarter of a
century to find the same kind of records for Hartigan's Horse, a unit formed
soon after the beginning of the first world war. It existed for a year or
two and was then taken up in another unit.

Good morning everyone. My name is Charlotte and I am new on this
list. Although I am not at all new to Genealogy, I have not been
active for quite a while. However, some of you might remember me?

I came into posession of the nominal roll of Steinaecker's Horse, a
colonial unit of the Boer War of 1899-1902 and would like to share it
as I'm sure there will be many of you who might be interested in it.
I will try to do as much at a time as I'm able. The index is in
