Hi Pete

18 months ago I travelled as near as I could along the Wild Coast curious to
see it as 1820 settler Benjamin Norden (brother of my direct ancestor) is
said to have traded "up the Wild Coast" He represented the Governor with
Dingaan with whom he also traded. I talked to people doing historical
research in Port St Johns and East London to enquire whether they knew of a
likely source of records on this. (I am aware of the piece in the Grahams
Town Journal). Noone could make any suggestions. I recollect your book
covers a later period. If you or any other list members can suggest where I
might look for the decades 1820-1840 I'd be most grateful.

Many thanks.
