I'm not too sure if there is a connection but I have a White Family in my
tree from St Vigeans, Scotland who settled in the Eastern Cape.
John White was born 29/08/1769, St Vigeans, Arboath, Scotland he is the
grandfather of David Petrie WHITE (b. 21/02/1837) who settled in Milton,
Eastern Cape, South Africa. David Petrie White produced 15 children in the
Hankey/Milton area.

Hi Carol Caroline and All,

Has anyone any info on the said WHITE ladies?

I am 3 x G-Granddaughter of John WHITE b c1804 Gosport Hampshire, UK
through his daughter Mary. He had 11 children at his death in 1856 Cradock.
It seems he must have a fair number of descendents, and any info on them
would be welcome.
