I have also used ancestor.co.za and have found them very good, especially
for someone who does not live in South Africa and does not have access to
the archives. If they already have the document on their data base then the
turnaround is good. If it has to be accessed from the archives then there
is a delay. I like the format of their data, very easy to access and easy
to use if one is not quite sure who one is looking for. I use other South
African sites too and they give all sorts of other information as well. Each
site has its uses. The service from ancestor.co.za has for me been good and
not expensive because of my location. I would have to pay someone to access
documents for me.
