Hi everyone! My name is Tony Abbitt; I am 54 years old and live in Maidstone, Kent, England. One of my missions in life at the moment is to link the UK ABBITTs with the South African ABBITTs. I believe one of my ancestors, possibly with his parents and sister, emigrated from the UK in the late 1800s to South Africa. Unfortunately that's about all I have to go on with! I'm totally unfamiliar with any South African records which may be available on the internet, so if anybody could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful!
