Subject: Murdered Great-Gran

Between 1900 and 1903 my 3rd great-gran Emily Wenham Beavan (formerly Cremer) and her 15 year old son Albert were murdered in Waterval Boven, Traansval.

I think it was after 1901 as her husband was listed as 'married' in the 1901 English census.

The National Archives of South Africa have no records of them. The Anglican parish burial records don't have a record of their deaths either.

Might the murder have made the papers? Does anyone know which paper that would likely be?
