Good day listers,
As the number of requests for cemetery look-ups increases, I thought it best to let everybody know that Richard Ball is, at this very moment, moving the first completed cemeteries across to the public section of the eGSSA (www.eggsa.org). Some 20 very (and I mean very) hardworking volunteers are doing a tremendous job trying to make these labelled images available to the public as soon as possible. About 642 images, taken in the following cemeteries, will soon be viewable:
Boksburg (part of)
Brakpan
Bredell
Bronkhorstspruit (part of)
Coligny
Heilbron
Kempton Park - Dorp
Klerksdorp
Steynsburg
Ventersdorp
Delmas and Witbank will be following soon too just as soon as I've screened the transcriptions
However, even if you deduct 642 images from the 22,211, which we had when we started off last Monday, we still have a long way to go, no matter how hard we work. Thus, if you have broadbrand and some free time, I'd be delighted to welcome you to our group of labelling volunteers. It really is quite simple, and every little bit helps. (We also have a lady - without any connection to South Africa - from the Cumberland lists who has generously agreed to help out!)
With kind regards,
Gail Röthlin in Switzerland
