Yes this one leapt out at me, just above the BMDs. However, I did wonder if
it was a baby goat rather than a child. Did they call children kids in those
days? Still horrific to charge people to see it. Mind you, I was watching a
programme about (human) triplets whose childhood as recently as the 1930s
had been blighted by being treated as fairground attractions...

reading besides the hatches, matches and dispatches. They are full of social
history.
But this one I thought was quite horrific

shame poor child and people actually got away with charging money to see
