Dear James, What a lovely letter. No I did not know your uncle. I was
stationed at the NMC Pay Corps at Welgedacht just outside Springs. Yes I am
writing an account of my 4 years in the Army and will certainly send you a
copy. Your uncle and I are just about the same age.
Oh his Xosa would have been wonderful.
I will tell you off list. Too long for this.
