and 23 days, after a long and painful illness, regretted by her relatives
and friends.

DIED at Mowbray on Sunday last, 26th February, Mr. Richard Prince SOLOMON,
in the 36th year of his age, deeply regretted by his Relatives and Friends.
DIED at Sea, near the Straits of Banka, on the 7th July 1853, (on a voyage
from Java to Japan) Dirk Gysbert REITZ, Knight of the Order of Netherland's
Lion, formerly Advocate of the Court of Justice in this Colony, afterwards
Member of the High Court of Justice, and Judge of the Admiralty Court at
Batavia, and latterly President of the Orphan Chamber at Batavia, aged fifty
seven years.
