Hi from a very hot Central Australia.
I am researching the following surnames.
Alexander FORBES arrived from Ireland in 1820, was killed Waay Plaits
1834, most of his family and grandchildren were born Aliwal North where
my G Grandmother Mary Annie May FORBES married David FININLEY 1896. They
came out to Perth West Australia with their five children (one of whom
was my Grandmother) in 1912.
I have a number of photos taken in and around Aliwal North, Benoni,
Grahamstown and East London in the 1890's to 1910. I would love to be
able to contact one of the Forbes relations as there were a number of
brothers and sisters of Mary Annie May Forbes who stayed in RSA. Can
anyone be of any assistance?
