Dear Pam,
Are you aware that the LDS records are christenings and not birth dates. So
it is probable that your ggrandfather was baptised/christened when he was
three years old. And at another location.
Bye Karlena

Hi Maureen Brady and all,
This is probably a terribly naive question. But, maybe there are other
genealogy rookies on this list who would also benefit from reading the
answer.
Since Jill Martin posted it's address I have been thrilled to find some of
my family's information. Also I have already spotted an error....i.e. the
place and date of my ggrandfather's birth. I have a copy of his British
birth certificate and he is listed as having been born in Grahamstown some
three years later!
My question is? When you have downloaded from the LDS site...What program
do you use to peruse the information? Also, where can any program needed,
be obtained on the web?
I like others have benefitted tremendously from participating in this list.
My thanks to you all.
