Barbara,
The PHIPPS brothers lived at Hinton Manor, Woodford Halse, Northamptonshire.
The family were farmers... well to do I think... a PHIPPS street was named
after them.
I have not heard about a connection with a brewery, but anything is
possible. Since I'm not sure where Woodford Halse is situated in relation to
Northampton, I have included all known birth places/burials, etc. Please let
me know if you think there might be a connection.
