Hi Mike and thanks for your contact. It appears that my Elizabeth
Catharina Johanna LUUS is the daughter of G. Luus and E.C.J. Luus, as
Christo Schutte (also on the list) has found a letter in the Pta archives
which is signed by her parents giving her permission to marry Harry Edward
BECKWITH dd 29.06.1895. She was 15 years old!

Harry Edward BECKWITH and Elizabeth Catharina Johanna LUUS had 9 children,
my Father William Richard BECKWITH was probably the second eldest but the
first son. Nowhere in their children does the name Dirk crop up, however,
their 5th daughter was named Jacoba Dorothea BECKWITH b 1912.

How would this connect?
