Hello Sydey,
Somewhere you have your facts twisted , the hideous epidemic was not septic
pneumonia but malnutrition , gastric fever , dysentry , caused by unhygienic
conditions in concencentration camps. The disease raged through ALL
concentration camps. It did not rage in cities , veld farms or in all four
colonies.

I do not want to stir up another hornets nest because we cannot change
history. What we can do is to present it accurately. I would therefor
suggest that you read the book "The Boer War" written by Thomas Pakenham.
Pakenham is regarded as the most knowlegeable authority of the war. As he is
neither Boer nor Brit he is also the only independant historian of that war.

Regards,
Bazett Meyer
