As a new subscriber to this list I take note of the difficulties you describe
with self-interested optimism. I'm afraid I can't offer much assistance in
resolving your technical difficulties but I am interested in knowing what this
enterprise might offer in my quest for a trace of James KELLY and his family. My
guncle was demobilized from the British Army after WW I and accepted a
commission (? or assignment) in the police in Johannesburg. He would most
certainly have passed away by now -- or set a record for longevity that I will
most certainly have difficulty in matching -- but he did leave at least one
daughter named PATSY <nee KELLY> ROSS.

Please tell me there is hope in tracking them down sometime in the not too far
distant future.
