Dear Listers

A long time ago I asked for any information on the Young-Riddle
family who had connections to my Thorntons of Graaff-Reinet. I
had no 'takers' and have since found out that I misspelled the name
and that the 'Young' was not really part of a double-barrel.
Herewith an update ...

The family I am looking for, is that of G.Y. Reddell and his wife,
Geraldine. We think the initials stood for George Young R. and
that they were farmers outside Pretoria. The time slot for these
possible family members would be birth circa 1880, marriage circa
1900/5. There was a son known as 'Pops'. I would dearly like to
know what Geraldine's maiden name was - suspect this may have
been Smith, daughter of James Smith and Susan Burton Spiller.
