Hello, everyone! As an elderly novice to the world of computers, this is my first attempt to use the medium to try to find out about, even make contact with, descendents of my great-aunt who emigrated from Yorkshire, England to South Africa about 100 years ago. Her maiden name was MARTHA ALICE DRIVER, born in Yorkshire in 1867. She married RICHARD (generally known, I believe, as DICK) BENTLEY and they emigrated to South Africa around 1900. I believe he was employed in the diamond mines in the Johannesburg area and at some time worked as a prison warder in Pretoria. I believe they had three South African born children (RENE BENTLEY: HAROLD BENTLEY and RICHARD BENTLEY) all of whom would now be South African "senior citizens" if, indeed, they still survive. I believe that they subsequently married and had families but I have no information about them. If anyone can provide me with any information about any of these people, I really shall be most grateful.
