Does anyone out there know of a memorial to Ma Scheepers in Harrismith. She
was on Louis Trichardt's trek which ended up in the low veld where malaria
struck. She chivvied the men (I believe at times with a sjambok) to get
them moving. A formidable woman from all accounts.

Any information regarding her descendents would be appreciated as it is
believed that my husband's family are descended from one of her daughters.
