There is a Dunbar family in SA Genealogies, and a very interesting article on
the family in Familia. I did not find your Elizabeth here.

Benjamin Moodie organized a scheme in 1817 to bring skilled artisans to the
Cape: They settled in the Swellendam area. (See Hockly for a little of this
history. See also SAG 5 p. 663.) Benjamin was born in Scotland, and his
mother (died 1798) was Elizabeth Dunbar. Dunbar is a common given name in
this family, hence the surname "Dunbar Moodie". But not, I think, from any
Dunbar in South Africa.
