I combed through the Okiep Cemetery in 1974, but if there were Tonkin's
there, then I missed them. The one's I have come across are mainly from
Penzance - Peter Tonkin son of the Cornish historian, Thomas T; Uriah T,
came in 1840, Norman Vivian T, h. of Dorothy Calloway; H. J. Tonkin, died
Pietermaritzburg; Dorothy Natalie T; & then from the Scilly Isles - William
T. 1857-1920,d. Durban
