Hello Everyone

I have extracted the entries in 'The Lower Albany Chronicle', edited
by E Morse Jones, for William Bensted Smith, his brother John
Josiah, and sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and John Comfield.
To this, I have added some bits and pieces gleaned from 'The
Journals of Sophia Pigot' edited by Margaret Rainier. (These
Smiths were with the Pigots aboard 'Northampton' in 1819/20.)

These are not the same Smiths as Ann's, but isn't it confusing that
Julia Emily Greathead's mother married William Bensted Smith
after the death of her husband James Henry and the death of
William's wife, Hannah who may have been nee Cock (and there
were children of both marriages) ... and then Emily married Charles
Thomas Smith (of Ann's Smiths) ... no wonder we have trouble
sorting out the Smiths!

Should anyone be interested in William Bensted Smith and family,
please contact me off-list and I'll forward the small file of extracts.
I'm also trying to collect the Irish Bagots who are 'related' to the
Smiths by marriage - anyone interested in them?
