Persons researching this name may be interested to know (those who son't
already know it) that the full name of Cardinal Richelieu (1585-1642) was
Jean Armand du Plessis. He was also a duke, and was nominated a bishop at
the ripe old age of 21. It was he who, under Henri IV, crushed the
political power of the Huguenots (see previous postings about the Edict of
Nantes).
