Hello William,

I sent the message below before I went on holiday, but I'm not sure that it
was properly sent. Apologies if I'm repeating myself.

Regards

Gerhard

Hello William,

Thank you for your guidance. I've just started research into my Quinn family
because of some documents I got from my father. There is very little indeed,
as my Quinn grandfather died when my father was 8 years old (1951), but I
will tell you what I have (thanks to Dennis Pretorius for his help as well):
(Not sure what the convention is for typing family trees in e-mail, but here
goes)
Willem Adriaan QUINN (?? Aug 1903 - 26 Aug 1951 in Boksburg) Worked for SA
Railways & Harbours from 1 June 1927 to 13 April 1947, and at ERPM at his
death: Married 10 Aug 1929 in Volksrust, Transvaal to Hester Maria GRIEZEL
(17 Oct 1911 in Platrand, Standerton - ??)
5 Children:
- M A Quinn (Mike)/ M (female)/ W (female)/ ?? (female) - my father is
currently obtaining details on these, as they are his siblings.
- Petrus Gerhardus Quinn (24 Jan 1943 - still alive): my father - married on
14 March 1964 to Hester Maria Susanna Elizabeth OLIVIER (14 May 1945 - still
alive)
4 Children, including myself.

On my paternal grandmother's side I have the following:
Petrus Gerhardus GRIEZEL (8 Jan 1890 - 18 May 1955): married in Volksrust,
Transvaal to Hester Johanna Maria STOOP (23 Aug 1893 - ??)
3 Children:
- Frederik Coenraad (5 Oct 1917 - ??)
- Hendrik Jacobus (5 Apr 1915 - 2 Mar 1916)
- Hester Maria (17 Oct 1911 - ??) - who married Willem Adriaan QUINN

Wishing you a good Christmas

Regards

Gerhard
