"I have been 'off-line' since late December because of serious computer problems. I was unfortunate to have been hit by a number of viruses which wreaked havoc with my computer. After nearly two months without access to my e-mail, and huge computer repair expenses, I have only just come back 'on line' to find three e-mails from you, including the one below.

I so miss being on 'the List' but had to 'unsubscribe' as a virus-spreading prevention measure after several List members' computers (including mine) were crippled by (especially) the BADTRANS virus and others. I would love to subscribe to the List again, but my computer is still limping along and I fear that the flood of e-mail from the List would finish it off for good!

I would so appreciate your letting fellow listers know what has happened to me and why they were not getting replies from me. At the time I was awaiting replies from a number of listers, including David Morris of Kimberley. It will be a while yet before I can subscribe again, but should any of the listers wish to contact me, they can do so via my direct e-mail address:
