Is there SKS who could please tell me where a photograph was taken re the following information:

* taken circa 1892

* at one end, in red line drawing:
- ribbons on either side of a shield with words CABINET PORTRAIT
- shield enclosed in a circle that looks like a lifebuoy with coronet above and words around it are
"HONI SOIT QUI MAY Y PENSE" (Prince of Wales motto)
- assume shield is Prince of Wales too; divided into 4 quadrants (colours re heraldic hatching):
top left is red background + 3 lions passant
top right is gold + lion rampant
bottom left is blue + harp
bottom right is red but cannot make out symbol

A group is seated next to what seems to be a wooden building extension with a thatched roof.
Landscape at rear looks very flat, with only the odd shrub.
There may be a church tower in the distance.
There seems to be rubble in front of the building - some bricks with a huge drum balanced on them at an angle.

The European ladies have large straw hats, decorated with flowers, on their knees.

A young woman stands only a head above the seated women. Her dress looks very much like a sari and her hair is parted in the middle and drawn back; she seems to have both African and Asian features. I believe she was a child's nursemaid.

I am sure that the photo was taken in Africa and would probably have been in a gold mining area.

Can anyone help, please?
Many Thanks
Gilly Taylor
