Hi,
There is no need to go to all that trouble in Word, when there is a full
programme set up already...Going to Word document, type your letters,
louren, then go to "insert" option, select option "symbols", you can pick up
the accented c for Lourenco Marques with the formatting table "Courier
New"... I'm sure if you scroll through some of the other options under
symbols, you can find every accent-cedilla you ever needed...and then you
can finish your word Lourenço Marques. Voila!

It's not an accent (they are on vowels only), but a cedilla -- it looks
like a 5 appended under the C. On a Macintosh you do it with option-c
(ç), on Word for Windows you have to have the manual and then do alt
plus a four digit code with num lock switched on. (As always, it is
harder on Wintel!)
