You're right this is useful - it forces one to look at real options, rather
than go the long route as we have been doing...
I discovered, if you set up your computer in windows or word with the option
of more than one French, Portuguese, German, etc, dictionary, then you can
just switch to that dictionary in outlook, and type the word you want, which
will automatically give you the accents you want. You can also use the
Control key! Need to refine that, but will keep you informed.

Subject: Re: [ZA] Foreign Accents, other stuff
This is amazing - thanks to all who gave input on this - will stop me having
to say things like "e with 2 dots on the e"? I work on a Mac all day and
have just been to lazy to try and figure it out on my home PC.
Because I don't want to be guilty of taking up space with thank yous, here's
a snip of hopefully useful info and questions I've been meaning to ask:
1. I have the March 2000 issue of Country Life with the Glen Avon story in
it if anyone would like copies.
2. I have a map of Troyeville, suburb of Johannesburg in which stands
Gandhi's house and where David Webster was murdered in the 1980s, ditto
above.
3. I have a streetmap of Grahamstown in PDF format, ditto above.
4. I came across a list of useful Latin genealogy terminology on an internet
site the other day, any takers?
5. I have a booklet entitled A History of Observatory (Cape Town) 1881-1913
if anyone would like me to look up anything.
6. What is the least I should expect to pay for a digital camera (SA rand
terms) capable of photographing DNs etc?
7. Does anyone know of any published works on the Marshall descendants of
Henry William Marshall (or any SA Marshalls for that matter) who came out on
the Northampton in Clark's party?
8. Does anyone know where I can get "The Trollops of South Africa" by Doris
Trollip Gordon published circa 1971 by Shuter and Shooter, Pietermaritzburg.
ISBN 0 86985 196 9? I have tried various local and internet outlets without
success.
Bedtime before I get really boring...
Good night all
Sharon
