Hello Shelley
Have been following the thread and came across this this baptismal record in
the St John's Anglican Church, Wynberg registers:
Baptised: Wednesday, September 02, 1903
Born: Tuesday, June 16, 1903
Child's Name: Bertie Louis PEERS
Father's Name: Victor S.
Mother's Name: Belle
Father's Occupation: Clerk
Sponsors : INGLIS, William and RAYMOND, Louie
Officiating Minister: SMITH, G.N
Regarding the road in Wynberg - I assume that Piers Road was named after a
magistrate Charles Piers in the 1800's - this info taken from Helen
Robinson's book on Wynberg "Beyond the City Limits".
Regards
