Hi Listers

With my ZAAIMANs, I've had the great benefit of using a genealogy drawn up
by a relative & privately published in 1972 (Geslagsregister van
Hartbeesrivier, Uniondale, se Zaaymans, 1834-1971). What gaps there are in
my immediate line I've been able to fill in by asking relatives. Besides
looking up some early Zaaiman documents in the Cape Archives, to date I have
not needed to pursue any BMDs & in fact don't know how one goes about this
with the DRC. But now I'm digging into the female lines marrying in & am
finding there are enormous gaps. Is there a centralised repository? If so,
contact details please. Otherwise, does one have to contact individual
parishes?
