Hallo Annatjie
According to the FAK-sangbundel p358 song no 216 the correct word is
"rokkies". The word "lokkies" occur in the second verse. The second verse is
"Lokkies dra sy nou met strikkies bont en blou. Sy vra oom Jannie gou of hy
van lokkies hou. Wat is oom Jannie se naam tog? Jannie se naam is
Goggabie."The third verse is "Met rok en lok getooi lyk sy nou baie mooi.
Die kerels kom flikflooi (3x)by die haarlok, rooirok nooi. And the fourth
"Nou maak sy vir haar klomp kêrels bymekaar en kyk hoe staan hul daar na rok
en lok te staar".
Do you have a different edition? Mine is the fourth ed,1986, ISBN 0 620

The song says "LOKKIES" i.e. locks in her hair.........not dresses...see my
posting on the list of the song found in the Volkspele book
