Many thanks for your timely and valuable response.

I note the subtle difference in spelling (NEWBATT/NEUBATT) - or is this
likely to be a mistranscription somewhere along the way?

Would you know if it is a big 'ask' if I could find someone local who is
able to fit in a Register lookup?
