I too saw a man with a hand held scanner and was very surprised. Perhaps
the Desk jockeys didn't know what that old fashioned thing was!

Although I must agreee with Heather about needing at least 3 megapixels if
you want to keep a perfect reproduction but for adequate and faster work on
death notices my 1.8 Megapixels is okay [that all just okay - not good]
Prices are dropping on digital cameras. What I paid for my 1.8 megapixel
two years ago I can buy a 3 megapixel one today.
