You can go to the South African archives website at
www.national.archives.gov.za and search the National Automated Archival
Retrieval System.

Then you choose your data base and type one word per line - don't put in the
whole name on one line.

Then you will see a list of documents come up on your screen, then double
click and you will be then given a brief description on the documents. You
cannot see them or order them on line but will either have to contact the
archives concerned or pay a researcher to obtain copies.

Hi my Name is Ron Lanning from New Zealand and i`m hoping someone may
connect with the following information .
My GGGrandparents Nathaniel LANNIN and Margaret MAHONEY were from County
Cork in Ireland they left their in 1846 after Marrying in Cork City.
They eventually settled in Cornwall ( around 1855/6) .Two of my Ancestors
William and Frederick Lannin travelled to South Africa from Cornwall and
lived in Benoni ( i suspect they Mined there) . Frederick subsequently Died
there on the 8th January 1916 .
I unfortunately have no other information about them .
Any help or suggestions about information from South Africa appreciated.
