Good morning Marielle
I already have the records that are avail in SA. Unfortunately, his parents
names are omitted and instead 'deceased' is noted in the space provided. Also,
birthplace is noted as America and nationality as Irish American. His age at the time of his
death on 21/11/1942 is 62yrs 9 mths. Which would make his date of birth 28/2/1880.
28/2 was given to me by family. However on his marriage certificate iro his marriage
to my ggmother Edith on 24/10/1914, his age is noted as 37 years. This would then mean he
was born in 1877 instead of 1880. Anyway I think that he would be in a better position to
know his age at the time of his marriage. Maybe someone made a mistake with it at the time
of his death. Anyway it's either 1877 or 1880.
Any info that you may be able to obtain on my behalf would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Merlynn

Hi Marion
Should we assume that you have already had access to this file in the Natal
archives, which should contain his death notice, and which may just possibly
name his parents or his place & date of birth, or even both?

If not, then I would suggest that this might be your first point of
