Thankyou for your help, I did see that information
and wondered whether it was our Mary. Grant died
in 1909 so maybe 1912 would be the time needed to
apply for the finalisation of the estate (?)
I had a look on that site last night but didn't
find anything, but then I was rather tired.
I have no idea what happened to Mary, can't find
sign of her returning to Australia.

They do not appear on Vol 3 of the Cemetery CD, but may appear in a later
This file may pertain to Mary SLOAN, but I see that it is filed in the Cape
Archives, whereas Grant's were in the Gauteng archives, so maybe it's a long
*DESCRIPTION* *SLOAN, MARY.* LIQUIDATION AND DISTRIBUTION
