Since you don't say where you have looked or where your grandparents
lived it is difficult to say.
Assuming they lived at Clanwilliam, then their death notices will
still be in the Master's Office (Supreme Court) Cape Town (not in the
Archives). Some of these have been indexed in Adelbert Semmelink's
excellent index project of some years ago (I don't know if it was ever
completed) and this can be consulted on Ron Smit's excellent web site:

choose CDNI from the menu on the left.
There are 10 Fortuins indexed for 1962.
