I have been told that two of our EMERTON brothers went to South Africa.
The only details I have is that William EMERTON married Martha Jane JARVIS in
South Africa. Their children were William 1882-1957 m. Millicent FINN,
Magdaline EMERTON m. Hector McDONALD and Frank EMERTON 1884-1962 married
Gertrude FINN (sister to Millicent).
Of the remaining EMERTON brothers, James and Richard came to Australia, Edward
to Canada, so that leaves Thomas and Joseph the possibles to go to South
Africa.
South African research is new to me so any help or suggestions would be truly
appreciated.
Better still, a living descendant would be dream come true!
