My friend Izak SMUTS and his two sons might not be so sure of
that........... He has always claimed a connection to Jan SMUTS, but I will
check that out.

Apparently the JC Smuts line is extinct today - in the sense that Jan Smuts
has no MALE descendants left to carry the Smuts name forward. His genes
survive only in the female lines of his descendants. Smuts did have sons, so
the line did not end with him, but it has ended.

Does anyone have a chart of Jan Smuts' descendants?
