Hello Keith,
Thanks for your e-mail regarding my query about Lucretia, Ladybrand. I am
not sure if it is a farm in the Ladybrand district, or a suburb of
Ladybrand.
I am a eGGSA member, I am also a volunteer and did a lot of transcribing on
the Gravestones, first for Gail then for Alta.
I can't remember seeing your newsletter. Most probably missed it.
If it is not too much trouble could you please send me the newsletter again
please.
Keep well
Andrié

Andrié,
Have you seen my tutorial on farm names and maps in the last eGGSA
newsletter?
If not:
1. Ask, and I will send you a copy.
2. I think you should join eGGSA.
Best wishes,
Keith

Dear Listers,
Would like to know if there was a farm in Ladybrand named "Lucretia" as I
have
some family members that where either born, married or died in Lucretia,
Ladybrand.
If this was a farm then I think I have definitely found a link for our side
of
the Labuschagne family tree. Now all I need is to find a way to link our
elusive Jan Harm "Rooi Jan" Labuschagne born abt 1863 to the rest of these
Ladybrand Labuschagne's. On his marriage certificate place of origin was
Ladybrand, Lucretia. He married Gertruida Sophia Magdalena Roodt on Jan 27
1891
Keep well
Andrié - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
