Hi Derek
We use a program called text pad made by Helios software (it is not a free
program http://www.textpad.com/ but I think you can download an evaluation
version ) - you right click on your directory and you then do a "path copy"
- it then asks you if you want a "pretty list" you then just say yes and
paste the list in either word, an email or word pad which you can then
import as a txt, tab delimited or csv files into an excel spreadsheet or an
access database - it takes two minutes if that.

regards
Heather

Hi
Sorry no CRUMPLIN.

I'm trying to find a program that will allow me to list all the names of
files in a directory as a text list so I give the names and dates of the
Agent's lists I've transcribed.

What worries me is that very few people (if any) have found their family
from the 777 I have on my list. Makes me think they were all made up!

Derek
