Kirkintilloch is just north of Glasgow, in what used to be the county
of Lanark until they changed all the county boundaries. It might be
worth your while to join the Lanark List on Rootsweb, if they are half
as good as the Fife List, which has many endlessly helpful members, you
should do OK.
