Hi Marina,
There is a Passenger List entry showing Capt & Mrs Rainnie (and possibly
family members?) sailing from Southampton to South Africa (Natal) on the
Walmer Castle, departing 10 Oct 1903. There are no initials on the entry, so
not sure if this is your family?
There are lots of John Rainnie entries on www.scotsorigins.com which could
be your family?
Good luck with your search.
Regards,
Mary (Berks, UK)

I have been researching my Rainnie family for some time and have discovered
that John Rainnie b Scotland and his wife Eva Tillotson went to Durban with
their family around 1903. I would be pleased to hear from any descendants
of this family or receive any information regarding them. John was Port
Captain of Durban Harbour and prior to that Harbour Master in Grangemouth,
Scotland.
Kind Regards
Marina
