JANSE VAN RENSBURG. – Andre and Glenda, a daughter Jenny at Sanford Maternity Home, sister for Jean and Michelle on April 21, 1985.

MANTHE – To Fred and Lynn (nee MEYER), a son born April 21.

MAVELA. – To Pele and Wendy, a daughter born at Livingston Hospital, Thursday, April 18.

MILLS. – To Sharon and Lionel, a daughter born April 22 at Sandford Maternity Hospital.

TUCK. – To Eric and Karen (nee INGRAM), a daughter born April 19, 1985 at the Uitenhage Hospital.

WHYTE. – To Anthony and Thelina, a daughter born April 19, 1985 at the Midland Hospital, Graaff-Reinet.



ENGAGEMENTS.

ELS. – SMITH. The engagement is announced between Celeste, younger daughter of Chris and Lorraine, and Shawn, younger son of Noel and Teresa.

STAPLETON. – STEWART. Staples went out to fish and caught his favourite Trish.



DEATHS.

ANDERSON. – Eileen (nee WHITFORD), passed away at the Provincial Hospital, April 22. Mourned by sister-in-law Myrtle, and nephews Neville, Clive and Graham.

BARBOUR. – James loving husband of Floreen and father of Grant, passed away April 21, 1985, after a long, painful illness.

BARBOUR. – Goodwill Lodge No 711, the Brethren are requested to attend the funeral of Wor Bro. Jim BARBOUR in the Presbyterian/Congregational Church, Erasmus Drive, Summerstrand, on Wednesday, April 24, at 3.30 p.m.

FORESTER. – John, husband and father of little Ross, passed away age 31, in Plettenberg Bay. Mourned by Ariane (nee VON WILDEMANN), Ross and sister Janet ULLI, parents-in-law Sylvester and Dorothy VON WILDEMANN, Rosemary VON WILDEMANN, Heida and Alex STUART, Madelaine and Leigh DOUGLAS and Alex VON WILDEMANN.

NIVEN. – Jack Mackie, passed away April 19, 1985 at his home, Amanzi near Uitenhage, aged 93, husband of Cathy, father of Patrick, Dan and Desmond.

PERELSON. – Nathan, passed away suddenly on Saturday. Mourned by his wife, Mary, daughters Gerda and Peggy, and son Ivan, sons-in-law Eric and Alan, and grandchildren. Funeral Tuesday, April 23, at 2 p.m. at Tahara House, Port Elizabeth.

REYNOLDS. – Elizabeth Margaret (Beth), mother of Mona, John and Kay, passed away at the Mary Potter Home on April 21, 1985 at the age of 84 Years.

SKELTON. – Harvey, passed away April 21. Remembered by his wife Pat and sons Richard, Paul, Mark and families. Cremation to take place at Johannesburg, Wednesday, April 24.

STEWART. – Marjorie Agnes, daughter of the late George STEWART late of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, passed away April 20. Memorial service in Hill Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

UDEMANS. – James Wilfred, husband of Phyllis, father of Tony, Wendy and Warren, passed away April 20. Remembered by Nitsu and Eric. Funeral notice later.

YOUNG. – Gordon Wilfred, passed away Sunday, Apr 21, husband of Eira, father of Joyce and Ian WISEMAN and grandchildren Kathryn, Jeffrey Mark and Roger, Margaret and Brian WELLS grandfather of Carol, Dianne and Beverly, Dorothy and De Villiers MELVILLE and grandfather of Shirley, John and Rosemarie.

JONES. – Thomas Lee, passed away April 19, at the age of 72 years. Service Tuesday, April 23 at the Victoria Park Crematorium 11.30 a.m.

LOHRENTZ. – Gordon Tennyson, husband of Elaine and father of Godfrey, Bruce and Anthony passed away April 20 at the age of 67 years. Funeral at the Full Gospel Church, Lorraine on Wednesday, April 24 at 1.30 p.m., thence to the Forest Hill Cemetery.

NIVEN. – A memorial service for Jack, late of Amanzi, Uitenhage, will be had at St Cuthbert’s Church, Westbourne Road, on Tuesday, April 23, at 3.30 p.m. Cremation private.

REYNOLDS. – Elizabeth Margaret (Beth), mother of Mona, John and Kay, passed away at Mary Potter Homes on April 21, 1985, at the age of 84 years. The funeral will take place at The Hill Presbyterian Church, on Tuesday, April 23, 1985, at 4 p.m. Cremation private.

RUITERS. – Constance May, passed away in Cape Town. The interment of her ashes will take place at 3 p.m. at the South End Cemetery. Missed by her children Rhona (England) Joan and Leslie (Australia), Connie, Rozetta, Janice, Jackie and their families.

YOUNG. – Gordon, passed away at the Provincial Hospital on Sunday, at the age of 78. Service from St John’s Methodist Church, Havelock Street, on Wednesday, April 24, at 3.30 p.m. Interment at the South End Cemetery.
