I subscribed a couple of weeks ago but I don't think there's too much
action on this list ??? Is there anyone with connections to Lima? Is
this list only for links from England to South America? My Grandfather
emigrated from Birkenhead, Cheshire to Lima and I have traced his father
and his father's father back to Yorkshire where I am doing more
research. However, on my mother's side, I'm interested in locating
information on emigration from France ... y mi frances es limitado ...
My grandfather, Jose Augusto Pautrat was born in Lima, his parents
emigrated from "somewhere" in France. His mother was pregnant at the
time and my grandfather was born at a port they docked in northern Peru,
Paita, en route to Lima. There is no birth certificate! His father's
name was Augusto Pautrat and mother Maria Rosa Watteau.
Anyone know how I can go about locating information on my family in
France?
